10/11 1748Z (1048 local Saturday morning): A Be35’s landing gear collapsed during landing at Shelter Cove Airport, San Rafael, California. The two aboard were uninjured despite “substantial” airplane damage. N360R (D-4910) is a 1957 H35.

(“Gear collapse during landing”—the Aviation Safety Network reports this airplane was recently sold, a reminder of the need for a good type-specific checkout and proper landing gear maintenance, as well as numerous other possible causes).
