No new FAA mishap reports are being posted during the U.S. government shutdown.
From unofficial sources
10/2 (time not reported): A Be35 landed gear up at Black River Falls, Wisconsin. The flight reportedly originated at La Crosse, Wisconsin. Airplane damage appears to be minor and there are no reported injuries. N179R (D-10179) is a 1978 V35B.
(“Gear up landing”; “Substantial damage”)
10/5 2010Z (1610 local Sunday afternoon): Three aboard a Be58 were killed and the 58P destroyed when according to the Aviation Safety Network it:
…impacted open field terrain while on approach to land at Williston Regional Airport (X60), Williston, Florida. The airplane departed the Lebanon Springfield Airport-George Hoerter Field (6I2), Lebanon, Kentucky, with an attended fuel stop at Williston. The last ADS-B position report indicated an altitude of 400 feet, a speed of 184 knots, and a negative descent rate of over 3,600 feet per minute.
Weather reports thunderstorms in the vicinity but it’s unknown if they were in the immediately location or if the Baron penetrated a thunderstorm or towering cumulus cloud. As reported by ASN 15 minutes before the crash (with my emphasis added):

And 25 minutes after:
METAR KX60 052035Z AUTO 09007G17KT 050V120 10SM TS SCT022 BKN038 BKN065 27/23 A3002 RMK AO2 LTG DSNT NE AND SW T02710226
Local sources indicate the airplane appeared to impact a bean field at a high forward speed (that is, not a spiral or spin). N121KJ (TJ-62) was a 1976 58P.
(“Approach/unknown”; “Fatal”; “Airplane destroyed”—and a reminder that often thunderstorm activity occurs in visual meteorological conditions).
