New reports this week
9/4 1604Z (1104 local Thursday morning): The solo pilot of a Be35 was killed when the Bonanza “crashed under known circumstances” while enroute near Cambridge, Minnesota. The airplane has “unknown” damage. N6021E (D-5919) was a 1959 K35.
(“Go-around/unknown”; “Fatal”; “Airplane destroyed”—these differences from the FAA’s preliminary report made on the basis of additional information from the Flight Safety Foundation’s Aviation Safety Network:
A Beechcraft K35 Bonanza, N6021E, was destroyed when it impacted terrain while on approach to land at Cambridge Municipal Airport (CBG/KCBG), Cambridge, Minnesota. The sole pilot onboard sustained fatal injuries.
ADS-B data shows the airplane on a straight-in approach to runway 34; the wreckage was found about 0.35 miles from the approach end of runway 16.

Flightaware shows the pilot made a short, 20-minute flight under Visual Flight Rules. The profile looks normal for a short hop at 3000 feet and a normal-looking descent toward the airport.)
9/5 1223Z (0623 local Friday morning): Two aboard a Be35 died and the Bonanza was “destroyed” while it was “doing pattern work” at dawn at Englewood, Colorado. N463T (D-7083) was a 1962 P35.
(“Go-around/unknown” [more shortly]; “Fatal”; “Aircraft destroyed”; “Night”—ASN adds:
ADS-B data indicate that the aircraft took off at 05:55 LT and carried out several touch-and-goes. During initial climb after a touch-and-go o runway 17L the aircraft did not reach pattern altitude and made a descending left-hand turn until it impacted terrain at 06:23 LT.
Local sources state the Bonanza may have been on a dual instructional flight).
9/6 1359Z (0859 local Saturday morning): A Be33 “crashed shortly after departure” and suffered “a post-crash fire” at Brookings, South Dakota. The two aboard have “unknown” injuries; the Debonair was destroyed by fire. N1310A (CD-1105) was a 1967 C33.
(“Partial power loss shortly after takeoff/ attempted return”; “Serious injuries”; “Aircraft destroyed”—Again from the Aviation Safety Network:
A Beechcraft 35 Debonair was destroyed when it impacted terrain shortly after takeoff from runway 30 at Brookings Regional Airport (BKX/KBKX), Brookings, South Dakota. The pilot and two passengers sustained serious injuries.
Preliminary information indicates the airplane climbed at an altitude of about 200 feet, when it reportedly experienced partial loss of engine power. The pilot turned to plane around in an attempt to return to the airport, but the airplane entered a “nose-dive” into the ground.)
