8/26 1015 local Monday morning: the Aviation Safety Network reports:
A Beechcraft 58TC Baron (turbocharged) crashed in a mountainous area in Brandnertal, Brüggele Alpe, Bludenz, Vorarlberg. There was fog in the area at the time of the accident. According to first reports, the airplane carried at least one occupant which perished and the aircraft was destroyed. The debris are [sic] spread over a large area (>6000 square meter) which suggests an in-air-breakup. Remains of a person were found during the search on Tuesday – presumably the pilot.

8/28 0045Z (1845 local Tuesday evening 8/27): A Be35 “landed hard and ran off the runway” at Bozeman, Montana. The solo pilot escaped injury despite “substantial” airplane damage. N8350D (D-5444) is a 1958 J35.
