New reports this week
6/16 2200Z (1500 local Sunday afternoon): A Be33 “experienced an electrical problem” and, upon landing, “landed gear up” at Apple Valley, California. Neither person aboard was hurt, and airplane damage is “minor.” N9708Y (CD-559) is a 1963 B33.
(“Gear up landing after electrical failure”—if the FAA’s preliminary report is correct, the situation could have easily been resolved using the Manual Landing Gear Extension procedure in the Pilot’s Operating Handbook…and what should be a required task on any Beech transition or checkout).
