New reports this week
6/5 1930Z (1230 local Thursday afternoon): A Be19’s solo student pilot “lost control on landing” at Moses Lake, Washington. The Sport’s “right wheel separated and [the aircraft] veered off [the] runway striking a sign with [its] right wing.” The pilot was unhurt and airplane damage is “unknown.” N1987L (MB-806) is a 1976 B19.
(“Loss of directional control during landing”).
6/7 1855Z (1455 local Saturday afternoon): A Be76 “landed hard short of the runway and [its] gear collapsed” at Crystal River, Florida. The two aboard were not injured and airplane damage is “unknown.” N67000 (ME-283) is a 1979 Duchess.
(“Hard landing”)
6/10 1620Z (1120 local Tuesday morning): A Be36 “crashed in trees…for unknown reasons” at Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The two aboard have “minor” injuries and the extent of damage is as yet “unknown.” N15PM (E-1016) is a 1977 A36.
(“Crash/unknown”—photos of the airplane standing vertically on its propeller in the trees, and reports that three aboard are “in stable condition” suggest we’ll add more factors when the NTSB begins posting about this crash).
